Patrick Cashman

Patrick Cashman is a multicultural executive with nearly 30 years of global experience in the pharmaceutical industry, during which he established new subsidiaries in key markets, created high performing teams, and successful launched new pharmaceutical brands in psychiatry and neurology. He directed the launch of key products in depression, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s disease. He negotiated several product in-license agreements and has led co-commercialization teams with American, European, and Japanese partners.

In 2007, Mr. Cashman was named President and General Manager of Lundbeck`s important Canadian subsidiary. During his tenure in Canada sales more than tripled. Lundbeck posted highest sales growth among the branded companies from 2011-2013. Cipralex (escitalopram – an antidepressant) was the fastest growing product in Canada in terms of prescriptions as well as value. In 2012, he established a successful Oncology franchise that grew to 50% of total revenue. Mr. Cashman won 7 consecutive international company awards for the highest profitability, fastest sales growth, most innovative launch strategy (depression), and best new product category launch (oncology) amongst others.

His focus on patient centricity was recognized when he received the Eye for Pharma Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Cashman was asked to present to the H. Lundbeck Corporate Board of Directors on numerous occasions in recognition of the excellent results achieved and the commercial leadership demonstrated. His organization has consistently ranked as one of the highest in terms of employee loyalty and satisfaction. Lundbeck Canada received the top 100 Employer Award in Canada.

Mr. Cashman’s leadership in the area of mental health has positioned Lundbeck as a true partner in this critical area. Mr. Cashman has been quoted in the National Post, Montreal Gazette, and other national publications. He has presented at the Economic Club of Canada, at the Champions of Mental Health Awards, and to members of the Canadian Parliament advocating for reducing stigma and emphasizing the importance of providing adequate resources for the treatment of mental health disorders.

Prior to leading the Canadian organization he established Lundbeck’s operations in Mexico, following that position he was Regional Vice President for Latin America, and later he worked to establish Lundbeck’s first commercial operation in the US Market.

Mr. Cashman holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree with Honors from Thunderbird School of International Business as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
